Just wanted to introduce you guys to the Innovation and Design Thinking training I attended last month. It was probably the best training I've received through Ford.
Here is some of the pre-work. Videos are great. More to come.

- TED Talk - Teacher Diana Laufenberg makes the case for schools that are focused on experiential learning, empowering student voice and embracing failure as a learning opportunity. (10 minutes) http://patterns.ideo.com/archive/
- Nightline episode featuring IDEO staff designing a new shopping cart. (20 minutes total)

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_civr9fr4iw&NR=1
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zddv5Bv7da8&feature=related
- The Art of Innovation, by Tom Kelley with Jonanthan Littman. Read the first chapter, available online through Google books:

- Introduction to the Foundations of Innovation curriculum (attached).
- (optional) TED Talk from Ken Robinson: http://www.ted.com/talks/ken_robinson_says_schools_kill_creativity.html (20 min)
Engaging, inspiring talk that makes the case for a crisis in creativity and human potential, and the need for schools to do a better job helping young people retain their creativity and connect to things
they are passionate about.
